We have been working with our partners and the young people who have been part of the crew to bring together what we know helps support young people – individual coaching, opportunities to develop the attitudes and personal habits to be ready for work, and opportunities to learn new skills on the job and in a workshop environment.
Centacare Evolve Housing is Tasmania’s largest provider of community housing. Providing tenancy support, maintenance, community wellbeing and a significant construction program. Build Up Tassie is Centacare Evolve Housing’s flagship work-readiness program.
St Joseph Affordable Homes is a building and construction social enterprise, launched by the Archdiocese of Hobart in 2020. St Joseph Affordable Homes is the only social enterprise of its kind in Australia and a pioneer in the industry. St Joseph Affordable Housing has a dual purpose; to provide substantial and sustainable employment opportunities for young and vulnerable Tasmanians, and to alleviate housing stress and homelessness.
